Project Life 2013 #1

Week one is done.  It took me a while because I'm not very good at journaling but I found a website to help me out.  It's called Oh Life.  You get an email from them everyday asking how you're day went and you just send a reply back.  It keeps to for you organized so when you're ready to look back at the week it's all there organized waiting for you.

This is what my pages looked like when I started:

Project Life

So I've been hearing a lot about this thing called Project Life and decided to check it out.  I found out it was created Becky Higgins to basically simplify scrapbooking (at least that's how I look at it).  Instead of making whole page layouts you use pocket pages to put your pictures in with journaling cards to document everyday things in your life.  There are kits available online to order but being a Close to My Heart Consultant I decided to see what we offered that I could use.  I looked at what I already had at home.  I have a lot of unused packs Of CTMH paper so before I order anything new I'm going to try to burn through my stash.

Then I flipped through the Idea Book to see else I needed.  We have a Work in Progress 3 ring album (Z1348) that will work perfectly to hold everything.  There are vertical (Z1324) and horizontal (4113) pocket pages to hold all your pictures and journal. And tons of embellishment and stamp sets to make it all pretty.  I'm really excited to begin this new journey for 2013 and would like you to join me. Happy New Year everyone!!!!!!!

Gift Card

I went shopping today at my local craft store and bought a new die for my Big Shot.  It makes an insert for a card to hold a gift card.  I used all Close to My Heart supplies except the buttons. Here's what I came up with.....

Bat Treat Box

It's he just adorable?!?!  I made him using the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.  I cut an 8" fry box, (2) 1" white circles and (2) 3/4" circles for the eyes.  The wings are hand cut and the mouth is painted with white acrylic paint.
